Jungbunzlauer's roots date back to 1867 when a spirits distillery was built in the village of Jung Bunzlau in Bohemia. The company grew rapidly including the foundation of the "Actiengesellschaft Jungbunzlauer Spiritus und Chemische Fabrik" in Prague 1897 and the construction of an alcohol plant in Pernhofen, Austria in 1901. Since then Jungbunzlauer has extended its product portfolio to a broad range of fermentation and specialty products and has established itself as one of the world's leading suppliers within its business segments.
Today the company serves customers in 130 countries of the world and manufactures its products in plants in Austria, Canada, France and Germany.
