Our sustainability targets and achievements

Compass 2030

The Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) are part of a global action plan initiated by the UN to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. Jungbunzlauer supports the SDGs and we contribute to several of them through our sustainability approach. The SDGs below were selected because they directly relate to our business practices and company values. Following the materiality analysis, we have added the following SDGs to our list:good health and wellbeing, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, and life on land.

Future Goals

We aim for a continuous reduction of specific water and waste volumes.

We strive for zero accidents and continue to implement corrective actions to prevent accidents in our plants.

We aim to be climate neutral by 2050.

We implemented a new Diversity and Equality Policy.

Although employee engagement and satisfaction are already at a high level, we want to improve it further by introducing a new employee engagement tool in 2020.

We reduced our overall CO2 emissions intensity (mt CO2e/mt final product incl. by-products) by 8% between 2013 and 2020.
