Executive Committee

Our strategy is to grow organically and strengthen our position as a global market leader, committed to the industry long-term. As the Executive Committee we are responsible for developing and implementing the Company’s strategy. We make sure that our owners and the Board of Directors are aligned with and agree to our long-term business and financial plans. It is also of great importance to us that all our employees are aware of and living Jungbunzlauer’s strategy and our values.

Bruno Tremblay

Bruno Tremblay

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Bruno Tremblay has been the Chief Executive Officer of Jungbunzlauer since May 2022. Under his leadership, Jungbunzlauer continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in high-quality, biodegradable ingredients, fostering strong customer relationships and advancing sustainability initiatives.

With more than 25 years of international experience in the life sciences sector, he has held leadership positions across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Prior to joining Jungbunzlauer, Bruno served as Executive Vice President for the EMEA region at Bayer CropScience, where he played a key role in business development, market expansion, and strategic initiatives. His expertise spans food ingredients, consumer health, and agriculture, with a strong focus on innovation and long-term value creation.

Bruno holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from ESSEC Business School and a Global Executive MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, the London School of Economics, and HEC Paris.

Sarah Egan

Sarah Egan

Executive Vice President Human Resources

Sarah Egan joined Jungbunzlauer as EVP, Human Resources in April 2023. In this role, which also includes responsibility for Corporate Communications, her extensive international experience and dedication to human resources excellence support Jungbunzlauer’s growth strategy and reinforce its commitment to fostering a strong, people-focused organisational culture.

With more than 20 years of experience in various HR functions, Sarah has held leadership roles at companies including Acino, Roche, and Novartis. Prior to joining Jungbunzlauer, she served as CHRO and Executive Committee member at Acino.

Sarah holds a degree from the University of Leicester (UK) and an EMCCC from INSEAD, reflecting her commitment to organisational behaviour studies.

Rasmus von Gottberg

Rasmus von Gottberg

Executive Vice President Corporate Development

Rasmus von Gottberg serves as Executive Vice President Corporate Development in which capacity he oversees R&D and innovation, new businesses, and M&A and strategic partnering. Rasmus joined Jungbunzlauer in 2023 to help identify and drive future growth opportunities for the company. ​

Rasmus has more than 30 years of experience across business management, marketing, innovation management, new business development, strategy, partnering, alliances, and M&A. After his years in management consulting, Rasmus spent his entire career in industrial biotech and ingredients, including executive management at Genomatica and various senior leadership positions at Novozymes (now Novonesis). ​

Rasmus completed his undergraduate studies in Applied Mathematics at the Royal Institue of Technology in Stockholm (KTH) and holds a Master’s in Management from ESCP Europe, Paris-Oxford-Berlin..

Agathe Keim

Chief of Staff

Agathe Keim serves as Chief of Staff at Jungbunzlauer, acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Committee since 2024. She plays a central role in advancing the company’s strategic agenda and growth ambition – shaping long-term vision, supporting the CEO in preparing for high-impact engagements, enhancing operational effectiveness and acting as a key integrator across business functions. 

Prior to joining Jungbunzlauer, Agathe was a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, advising multinational clients on business transformation, organisational design, and digital innovation. She brings over ten years of experience at the intersection of strategy, execution, and change leadership across industrial and consumer-facing sectors.

Agathe holds an MBA from IMD Business School, an engineering degree from École Centrale de Lyon and a master’s degree in business psychology from Université Lyon II.

Sara Merian

Executive Vice President Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Sara Merian serves as Jungbunzlauer’s Chief Financial Officer, having joined the company in September 2024. In this role, which also includes responsibility for Information Technology, her extensive financial and strategic expertise supports Jungbunzlauer’s commitment to sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Before joining Jungbunzlauer, Sara worked for Syngenta in various Finance leadership roles across EAME, North America and globally. She has more than 20 years of international finance leadership experience, leading complex global projects such as major integrations, operating model transformations and process optimisation.

Sara has a Commerce degree with a major in Accounting from the University of Calgary and is a Certified Public Accountant (Canada).

Stephan Mueller

Executive Vice President Sales

Stephan Mueller serves as the Executive Vice President Sales at Jungbunzlauer, leading the global sales organisation since 2013. Stephan’s leadership has been instrumental in driving Jungbunzlauer’s commercial success by fostering strong relationships with customers and partners.

Prior to joining Jungbunzlauer, Stephan held leadership positions at Clariant International AG and Süd-Chemie AG in commercial and general management roles. His deep understanding of the industry and more than 20 years of experience in technical and commercial leadership functions contribute significantly to Jungbunzlauer’s mission of providing high-quality, sustainable ingredients to our global business partners.

Stephan holds an MBA in International Mangagement and Entrepreneurship from FOM Munich where he focused on systhemic sales management concepts, and earned a Diploma in Chemistry from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, with studies spanning polymer and organometallic chemistry. Stephan completed his doctoral research at Freie Universitat Berlin where he worked on the design and synthesis of polymeric drug delivery systems.

Michael Pohlscheidt

Executive Vice President Operations

Michael Pohlscheidt serves as the Executive Vice President Operations since June 2024, and brings extensive experience in operations management within the biotech industry. Michael’s leadership and his commitment to sustainable practices is instrumental in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement within the organisation.​

Prior to joining Jungbunzlauer, Michael held various leadership positions in operations and supply chain management including at dsm-firmenich, Biogen, Roche and Genentech, where he developed a deep understanding of complex manufacturing environments and implemented strategies to enhance productivity and reduce environmental impact.

Michael holds degress from University of Applied Sciences, Aachen (Bioengineering), Otto-von-Guerick-Universitat Magdeburg (System and Process Engineering), an EMBA from ETH in Zurich and a PhD from Otto-von-Guericke-Universitat Magdeburg.

Franck Ueberschlag

Franck Ueberschlag

Executive Vice President Product Management

Franck Ueberschlag serves as Executive Vice President of Product Management, leading product management and commercial excellence since 2023. He joined the company in 2006 as a Key Account Manager before progressing to Director of Key Account Management. His extensive knowledge of the products, markets and commercial processes is key to supporting Jungbunzlauer strategic evolution.

Prior to joining Jungbunzlauer, Franck began his career in engineering at Texas Instruments before transitioning into Field Applications Engineer and Global Account Manager roles at Texas Instruments and Integrated Device Technology. He brings over 20 years of experience in customer-focused and commercial leadership roles, with a solid track record of navigating competitive markets, fostering long-term, value-driven customer relationships, and leading strategic negotiations.

Franck holds an engineering degree from École Centrale de Lyon and a MSc in microelectronics from University of Lyon, completed the Senior Management Program at the University of St. Gallen, and earned a certification in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
