Introduction
CITROFOL® AII triethyl o-acetylcitrate is a versatile citric acid ester. It is used especially in products serving the personal care, pharmaceutical and food contact sectors.
In pharmaceutical applications CITROFOL® AII contributes as plasticiser to the performance of enteric-coated tablets.
For personal care applications like nail lacquer, CITROFOL® AII provides beside good plasticising properties also excellent lightfastness.

CITROFOL® AII is specified to meet the requirements of the latest edition of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
