Introduction

Citric acid S40 is a very fine powder mixed with silicon dioxide. The silicon dioxide prevents citric acid from caking. This type of citric acid is used as a set retarder in the construction industry to cause a delay in the solidification of concrete.

Functions

This ingredient offers you the following excellent functions.

  • Improved flowability

Specifications

Citric acid S40 is a white, free flowing fine powder. Citric acid S40 contains approx. 4% anticaking agent (SiO2). Specification is available on request.

Citric acid S40 is supplied in 25kg multilayer paper bags.

Properties

  • Increased stability in terms of powder flowing properties
  • Silicon dioxide has a high ability to absorb spurs of humidity, keeps citric acid free flowing
  • Very fine pulverised powder for technical applications

Legal aspects

Citric acid S40 is intended to be used only in, therefore all components are in compliance with REACH Regulation and registered at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

The REACH registration number for citric acid is 01-2119457026-42-0000, for silicon dioxide 01-2119379499-16.
