SBTi commitment

Man-made greenhouse gases (GHG) are a major contributing factor towards global warming and a key challenge of the 21st century.
At Jungbunzlauer we believe it is important to be aware of our responsibility towards the environment and to work proactively for a more sustainable future.
Our ambition is to significantly lower our greenhouse gas emissions and to do our part in the fight against climate change. We have improved greatly by implementing emission reduction projects over the last decades and our key objective is to continue this development. To underline the importance of our aspiration to further reduce GHG emissions, Jungbunzlauer has committed to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and we are in the process of setting ambitious emission reduction goals in line with the Paris Agreement. Our targets will be in line with the well-below 2°C ambition and will be set for 10 years starting with 2020 as our base year.

Our commitment is recorded on sciencebasedtargets.org/companies-taking-action.
