Heat recovery installations - making Jungbunzlauer production even greener

Sustainability is a keystone of our strategy and value proposition. It plays an important role in our supply chain, from the raw materials we source to the products we manufacture.

In 2021, as part of our efforts to further reduce our product carbon footprints, we implemented numerous small improvements and larger heat recovery projects in various production areas in our plant in Pernhofen, Austria. We improved existing heat recovery systems and added new ones. This helps save more than 10,000 t CO2e annually. These projects are in line with Jungbunzlauer’s long-term strategy of making production as energy-efficient as possible. We are working on additional strategies and projects to further decarbonise our production sites.
