Green energy for factories in Ladenburg and Pernhofen

As one measure, amongst others like energy saving projects, to reduce Scope 2 emissions (indirect emissions from sourcing electricity), we have been purchasing electricity with guarantees of origin (renewable energy certificates) for the Ladenburg site in Germany since last year and for the Pernhofen site in Austria since this year. Due to the increased demand for guarantees of origin, costs have now risen significantly. The aim is to promote the generation of renewable energy. At the other two sites in France and in Canada, the power grid has a low emission factor due to the respective production mix.
