Jungbunzlauer Marckolsheim Certified ISO 9001:2000
Basel, March 1st, 2002 – Quality management approval underscores commitment to full customer satisfaction.
Jungbunzlauer is pleased to inform all customers and partners that its Marckolsheim, France factory has just been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management certificate. The certification was approved by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance and is applicable to the production and development by fermentation of sodium gluconate, glucono-delta-lactone and gluconic acid for the Jungbunzlauer Group.
"This certification puts us in the front line of quality suppliers", comments Jungbunzlauer CEO Rolf Soiron. In fact, Jungbunzlauer S.A. is among the first food additive manufacturers certified according to the standard's new version which was published in December 2000. ISO 9001:2000 combines and succeeds the individual ISO 9001, 9002 and 9003 standards of 1994. Much more than its predecessors, however, it emphasises the significance of customer satisfaction in the context of quality assurance.

"We demonstrated our ability to meet and exceed customer expectations through the involvement of people at all levels and an appropriate process approach. At the same time, the certification confirms our aim to continue on this path." Jungbunzlauer S.A. now intends to enhance customer satisfaction further through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
Following the example of Jungbunzlauer's Pernhofen, Austria factory, Marckolsheim is the second Jungbunzlauer plant certified within the ISO 9000 Quality Management System Standards. The current ISO 9001:2000 certificate for Marckolsheim is valid until March 2004. The current 9002:1994 certification for Pernhofen remains valid until October 2003.
