How we assure product safety

The quality of our products has a profound impact on the quality of our customers’ end products and a potential impact on consumer health and safety. Product quality, and product marketing and labelling, are therefore of considerable importance to us and our stakeholders.   

We adhere to the zero defects principle which applies not only to our products, but also to product packaging, accompanying documents and delivery.

Jungbunzlauer is committed to comply with all relevant legal obligations, providing products with the highest levels of food safety and fulfilling our specifications. We constantly assess our quality and food safety systems in order to assure continuous improvement. We systematically review the effectiveness, efficiency and safety of our processes, and we implement preventive and corrective actions where necessary. Third-party audits are conducted on a yearly basis, in order to align with the food safety standards defnied in the FSSC standard. Furthermore, several KPIs (Key Performance Indicator) are defined, e.g. complaints are tracked, investigations are performed and corrective actions are implemented, where necessary. Food safety topics and complaints are reviewed by the management committee every two months during their regular meeting.
