Jungbunzlauer offers safe and effective solutions across a broad spectrum of industries.  CITROFOL®, a line of citric acid based esters, are effective phthalate-free plasticizers which make for good bio-based alternatives to crude oil derived products. CITROFOL® products are compatible with a broad range of polymer types that include PVC, PU, PMM, acrylics and biopolymers such as cellulosics, PLA and PHA.  Due to their low toxicity and compliance with stringent regulatory requirements, CITROFOL® is preferably used not only in sensitive applications such as medical devices, food packaging and pharmaceutical coatings, but also in sealants and adhesives. Furthermore, industrial applications also benefit when using CITROFOL® products which results in low volatility and low migration according to the customer needs.

This year we are excited to show off our newest products, CITROFOL® BI eco and CITROFOL® BII eco. Both new varieties are based on natural butanol, produced by fermentation with renewable resources. CITROFOL® BII eco now has a bio-based share of 90%, while CITROFOL® BI eco is 100% bio based.
