Manager Strategy & Corporate Projects (f/m/d)
is what we are looking for at our Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. A new colleague with 5 to 10 years of professional experience, for example, in business development & M&A, from a project management office (PMO), in management consulting, and/or in investment banking/investment firm.
Your responsibilities
- Drive corporate strategy development
- Develop M&A strategy, generate and evaluate M&A opportunities, and engage in deal execution and value capture
- Drive or oversee certain strategic and cross-functional projects and assure timely progress, issues resolution and reporting of the entire portfolio of cross-functional projects
- Participate in Management Committee meetings and drive continuous improvement of Management Committee effectiveness
- Prepare content, incl. presentations, brief and support the CEO on certain topics
- As a member of our Corporate Development team, engage in business development and innovation
Your profile
- M.Sc., for example, in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Biotechnology, and/or MBA or equivalent
- Well-structured with strong planning, analytical and strategising skills combined with an entrepreneurial “doer” mind-set as well as good communication skills, including listening and influencing
- Track record creating investment cases and communicating these to senior management
- Previous project experience working in matrixed international teams; strong cross-cultural sensitivity Experience from the ingredients, specialty chemicals and/or life sciences sectors is an advantage
- Fluency in English, written and spoken, is expected – German and/or French is an advantage
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are expected; SAP experience is an advantage
