Sodium Gluconate a flavor with modifying properties
The Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association of the United States (FEMA) has granted FEMA GRAS status to Jungbunzlauer’s Sodium Gluconate.
FEMA GRAS applies to ingredients that demonstrate useful attributes as flavoring agents and is designated based on a formal review by the FEMA Expert Panel. Sodium Gluconate was approved by the FEMA Expert Panel in September 2018 and will be published in Vol. 29 of the FEMA GRAS List.
Sodium Gluconate can now be used as a flavor ingredient with modifying properties for specified use levels in certain food categories and qualifies to be labelled as “natural flavor”.
Jungbunzlauer offers a variety of additional products with approved FEMA GRAS status.
