- CITROFOL® AI exhibits a very good compatibility with vinyl resins and cellulose derivatives. It also has a solvent action for natural resins such as Dammarand. It is specially recommended as a solvent plasticiser for cellulose acetate and other cellulose derivatives.
- CITROFOL® AI has little migration into fatty finished products because of its oil resistance. It is also stable to light and therefore excellently suited for the manufacture of lacquers.
- CITROFOL® AI can be used as a solvent, diluent and as a fixative by the perfumers.
- CITROFOL® AI is a permitted food additive as a carrier for flavours and processing aid to whip egg whites.
- CITROFOL® AI inhibits the enzymatic decomposition of sweat components and is therefore an excellent active agent for deodorants.
- CITROFOL® AI is a non-toxic plasticiser and humectants for cigarette filters.
- CITROFOL® AI reduces the tackiness of low volatile hair sprays.
