Citric acid and trisodium citrate are widely used additives in the food and beverages industry where they are greatly desired for their pleasant taste, pH properties and excellent solubility. Very good sequestering abilities round off the properties of these products and qualify them for numerous other applications in areas like pharmaceuticals, home and personal care, detergents and cleaning, construction etc.
