Heinrich Schäfer to step down as VP Sales and to be succeeded by Stephan Müller

Heinrich Schäfer has decided that, after 23 years of service for Jungbunzlauer, the time has come to step down from his responsibility as VP Sales. He will be succeeded by Dr. Stephan Müller as of 1 November 2013.

Heinrich Schäfer has had a long career with Jungbunzlauer working in different sales and managerial roles in Germany, Holland, Singapore and finally as VP Sales and member of the Management Committee since 2003 working out of Basel. He has played a central role in the growth of Jungbunzlauer and positioning the company as a leading global supplier of organic acids, natural sweeteners and xanthan gum to the world wide industry with strong reputation as a trustworthy and quality oriented partner to our customers.

Stephan Müller, born in 1973, will join Jungbunzlauer as of 1 October 2013 as member of the Management Committee and he will, after one month of transition working with Heinrich Schäfer, assume the responsibility as VP Sales as of 1 November 2013. He holds a PhD degree in Chemistry and a MBA degree. Stephan Müller has since 2004 worked with Clariant (former Süd-Chemie) within R&D, business development and during the recent years been in managerial sales roles latest as Head of Chemical Catalysts Sales consisting of a worldwide sales organisation located in US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

We thank Heinrich Schäfer for his important contribution to the development of Jungbunzlauer over the years to the benefit of all stakeholders. And we welcome Stephan Müller to the company. His educational background and industry experience will support our on-going ambition to develop and grow our product offering based on world class sustainable process technology aiming to provide our customers a superior product quality and service supporting their business objectives.
